Antoinette M. Burton is a professor of history and Bastian Professor of Global and Transnational Studies at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She is the author of A Primer for Teaching World History: Ten Design Principles (2012) and the editor of The First Anglo-Afghan Wars, 1839-1919: A Reader (2014).
