by Thompson Westcott (Author)

During the Revolutionary War, citizens were required to take an oath of allegiance to their state or to the United States of America, and to abandon all loyalty to the King of England, and to his military and generals. This book contains a chronological listing of those who signed such an oath in Pennsylvania, the date of signing, occupation, residence, and, in some cases, the signer’s European origins. There is approximately 2,000 names listed.
