Author Biography

Dr. Alex V Ramani, Reader in Chemistry, St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Thiruchirappalli, has a doctorate in Natural Products Chemistry. He had his post-graduate education and M. Phil. degree from Loyola College (Autonomous), Chennai. He joined the Department of Chemistry, St. Joseph’s College in 1987. He has put in 22 years of service in teaching organic and bio-organic chemistry to M.Sc. and B.Sc. students. He has guided several M.Phil. scholars. Now, he is guiding Ph.D. scholars in the field of Natural Products Chemistry. He has published several research papers in journals of national and international repute. He was a fellow of the UNESCO-sponsored training program in Advanced Analytical Techniques in Chemistry organized by University College Dublin, Dublin, Ireland, in the year 1992.
