Sarah is enjoying the sunshine when she feels loud thumps and bumps nearby. She looks up and sees what she believes is a terrible monster with blue legs. a red body and big teeth staring at her! Frightened Sarah quickly slips under her rock to hide. But the monster is really just a little girl wearing blue jeans and a red sweater with pigtails. The girl runs away yelling. “EEEK! A snake!” This beautiful story shows how fear can come from not understanding one another and reminds readers that sometimes what seems scary isn’t scary at all.
